Office hygiene: the war against germs and absenteeism!


Office hygiene is essential in the war against germs, not to mention the war against employee sick days! But you’ll need more than just a once a week visit from the cleaner and some kitchen towel in the office kitchen to deal effectively with hygiene in the office; you’ll need specific office products which help you keep the office really clean.

Did you know that a recent study found that the average office telephone is contaminated with up to 25,127 germs per square inch; desktops had almost 21,000 germs per square inch, the average keyboard has 3,295 germs per square inch and a computer mouse has 1,676 germs per square inch. That’s compared to the average toilet seat which was found to have only 49 germs per square inch! It’s enough to make you want to call in sick, and certainly could explain the speedy ecxhange of cold symptoms around the office.
