Where’s my stapler?

Here at Rebel Office Supplies (http://www.rebelofficesupplies.co.uk) our range of supplies covers everything you’ll need in an office, from paper, ink and toner to office furniture and from catering utensils to health & safety equipment. Basically if your office needs it, we’ve got it.

We’ve spoken before in this blog about the most important piece of office equipment (the kettle!) but of all the great value office supplies we offer there are some that, on a daily basis, seem to go missing more than all the others. Thankfully most office essentials stay in their proper place so we seldom hear “where’s the printer gone?”, “someone’s borrowed the scanner again!” or “ok, who’s run off with the kettle?” but there seems to be certain items just too irresistible for some people not to “borrow”. We thought we’d give you our top 5 most “borrowed” items, see if you agree!

Hole Punch – Whether it’s a bride-to-be gradually collecting confetti to save money for the big day or (more likely) someone needing to punch holes in paper, we think the humble hole punch should be at number 5.

Scissors – At number 4, as every good child knows, you should never run with scissors and here at Rebel Office Supplies we think that means you shouldn’t run off with them without asking to borrow them either.

Highlighter – What is it with highlighters? You never really own a highlighter in today’s office – you’re simply its custodian until someone else in the office finds its fluorescent colour just too irresistible (when you’re not at your desk obviously). It’s our number 3.

Sticky notes – At number 2, one of the most popular stationery items ever. if you really must “borrow” my Sticky notes why take them all? How many messages do you need to leave people before you next see me? And why couldn’t you have spared just one to leave me a message saying you’ve “borrowed” them?

Stapler – So at number 1 it has to be the stapler. Never has such a modest piece of office equipment been so coveted and so guarded. You can protect it all you like (maybe write your name on an adhesive label from our office supplies range) but you can’t stay at your desk forever. You’ll get hungry, you’ll fancy a cup of tea or you’ll be called to a meeting. And that’s when they’ll strike, and it will be gone!

But don’t worry, the good news is you can visit Rebel Office Supplies (http://www.rebelofficesupplies.co.uk) to replace anything that you’ve lost. Or you could always go and “borrow” it from someone else, but we would never condone that!
