cable services. We can design and manufacture cables that cater for the
most specific requirements, within as little as two weeks if necessary.
Although the tooling costs associated with this kind of service generally
forces us to stipulate minimum order quantities (MOQs), we may still be able to
provide for those with smaller order requirements.
Securi-Flex's custom cable services
include armouring and braiding that provides that extra layer of protection for
your cables, with a choice of steel wire armour (SWA) or galvanised steel wire
braid (GSWB). The SWA scores highly for robustness, but the GSWB is the more flexible
option. Another possibility is the over-sheathing of standard cables for use in
harsher or more sensitive environments. Over-sheathing is also popular among
those requiring an alternative colour of cable.
External over-sheathing options
include Low Density Polyethylene (LOPE), which provides a great combination of
flexibility and water ingress protection. Alternatively, the customer may opt
for the protection from the elements that High Density Polyethylene (HOPE)
offers, or Polypropylene (PP) for soft direct burial applications. Meanwhile,
for exceptional protection against salty environments and water ingress, we can
also happily recommend Polyurethane (PUR).
Those seeking internal
over-sheathing are directed to our Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) option, which
should a fire occur, emits only low levels of toxic fumes. Quantities can be as
low as 100m for either external or internal over-sheathing at Securi-Flex.
