Industrial Strapping

Whether you are strapping an item for delivery on a one-off basis or you instead run a business handling tens or even hundreds of packages every day, you shouldn’t need too much convincing about the value of strapping – something which we sell plenty of here at Simpson Packaging (http://www.simpson-packaging.co.uk).

Versatile, light and flexible, polypropylene strapping is stocked in a comprehensive range of widths, break strains and colours.  It is our most popular type of hand and machine strapping, ideal for sealing boxes, bundling and securing pallets. Hand strapping is available on cardboard cores or plastic reels and   both hand and machine strapping can be custom printed to you specification, giving security, ease of identification and image enhancement.

We also offer extruded polyester strapping, which is a modern and safe alternative to steel strapping and is twice as strong as polypropylene strapping. It is flexible, cost-effective, environmentally friendly and retains its strength over time. It also doesn’t spring back when cut, mark your product or rust, as can be the case with steel strapping. Polyester strapping can be specified in various stock widths and break strains. It can also be custom printed to your specifications.

Certainly, steel is the time-honoured material for strapping, given its incredibly high tensile strength. This, combined with its minimal stretch makes it popular for heavy duty strapping requirement. For those heavy loads with their tight angles, we recommend steel strapping, which you can specify in any of five widths and a range of coil sizes. We have our steel strapping painted black as standard for corrosion resistance, while for outdoor use, we offer zinc coated steel strapping to prevent rust. Ribbon wound steel strapping coils are single wound for smaller users, whilst millwound (Oscillated) steel strapping is cross wound to give  longer length coils.

We also offer the complete range of strapping tools and accessories. From budget strapping sealers, tensioners and combination strapping tools for small light duty usage, through to heavy duty combination strapping tools that heavier applications call for. We ensure that you are well-equipped to make the most of strapping. We even stock a full range of seals, buckles and edge protectors.
